Between the overload of school work and the never ending hustle of college life, Chabad is a home away from home for students at NC State University; a cozy place to unwind in an oasis of Jewish tradition, friends and homemade food.
Chabad’s goal is to create a Jewish community in which individuals feel comfortable to explore and deepen their Jewish identity. No matter the background, affiliation, or familiarity to Judaism, every student is welcomed and loved.

He studied abroad in Rabbinic Seminaries in Canada, Israel and Belgium, before returning to New York to complete his rabbinical ordination from the Central Chabad Yeshiva. Rabbi Shmuly has experience in Jewish communal leadership having practiced as an intern Rabbi in Austria, Slovakia, Mexico and throughout the United States. His genuine interest in others, along with his sincerity and wisdom, make it natural for him to connect with people of all ages, stages and backgrounds. Chaya Sara was also born and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn where she completed her full Chabad-Judaic education. After completing her schooling, she advanced further into education through teaching and working with children and teens in need of special education. With her passion for education and artistic talents, Chaya Sara is the mind and heart behind all the amazing things happening at Chabad at NC State. Her enthusiasm, kindness and warm smile ensures that everyone who walks through the door feels comfortable and welcome.
Tzvi was born in Brooklyn, and moved with his Mommy and Tatty to Raleigh, just after his first birthday. Tzvi loves playgrounds, cars, toys, and music, and most of all, he loves when students come over to play with him.
Rochel, the first North Carolina native of the family, is a smiley and mischievous baby, who loves playing with dolls, books and her older brother Tzvi!
